Grrr baby, Grrr! Here's Bianca, wearing those boots that I told you all about---you know, the ones I was coveting in the worst way? B took my pictures during snack today and then Adrian took OUR picture so I could put her on the blog....Holla B! :)
Today is LEOPARD TIGHTS DAY!!!! Courtesy of Phillip and Judith Davis (we're learning about Proper Nouns in my class today, so I might as well get in some practice!), the best parents in the ENTIRE WORLD!!! Remember on Day 9 (Purple Day) when I wrote about my "tights snaffu" that I had in the morning whilst getting dressed? Well, long story short, my parents read about how I ripped the tights that they gave to me and went out and bought me another pair! How awesome is that? And how awesome are they? I went over to the Davis Oasis (aka my parents' house) for dinner last night and these were waiting for me! Ahhh, to be loved. What a sweet thing it is. Today is dedicated to Mom and Dad. For enabling my obsession with accessories by buying me MORE stuff to wear! Love you both.
Soooooo, without further ado (enough with the gushy stuff, right?) here is how I rocked the tights:
1. First things first: I wore my awesome Faux Leather Jacket from Target. This jacket has been everywhere with me, and the best thing is that my sister has the exact same one and sometimes we show up places and we are both wearing it! And then we look like we planned to be twins like it's Sadies or something.
2. Next I wore my green-ish cowl neck, short-sleeved sweater from Forever 21. I bought this shirt SO LONG ago and I NEVER, really and honestly, NEVER WEAR IT! Today one of my students told me that I never wear the same thing twice and I thought that was humorous for 2 reasons. The first being that I have been wearing the same dress for 12 straight days, so clearly I DO wear the same thing more than once, and secondly, that he is affirming the reason that I am doing this challenge. I really don't repeat a lot of clothes--which I guess is good, but it also means that I have a LOT of unneeded stuff--do I NEED 100 shirts? NO!
3. The infamous "Leopard Tights"....here they are, in allllll their glory! The other best part of my look from the "knees down" is the shoes that I am wearing. I "inherited" these from my sister because one time (and all you sisters out there will be sympathetic) I borrowed them and then stretched them out, because my feet are about 1/2 to a whole size bigger than hers. She was not happy, and gave them to me because they did not fit her anymore. I felt bad, but I also felt happy, because I got a new pair of kicks out of the deal! (sorry, Jos!)
Alright Friends, I am now going to head off to Etna for the weekend. My students advised me against flying on "Friday the 13th", but I say "BRING IT SUPERSTITION!" I am SO not afraid! Instead, I am totally stoked to see Renee, Pat, and Bailey Johnson. Ahhhhhh.....I adore a nice weekend getaway. Hopefully I packed enough stuff in my backpack (I travel light!)....I guess you'll have to wait and see! Happy Travels to me and yay for a 3-Day-Weekend! What are YOU doing this weekend?
Sidenote: The more animal print, the better. Seriously.
