1. I wore my "Big Star" skinny cut jeans (Thanks Denim Guy!) underneath the Dress. These jeans are great because they actually have a higher waist than lots of my other pairs, so they are super comfy and I don't feel like the button is cutting into my stomach. (you know how jeans do that sometimes??) They are also one of the lightest washes of denim that I own, so it is just a nice way to mix up a look....different washes of denim can make all the difference in an outfit.
2. I wore my tannish-grayish boots that my good friend Bianca bought for me earlier this Fall. They are awesome because they have an elastic panel along the back, so they are good for all "calf types"....they pretty much form to my leg. I'm sorry that I can't tell you what brand they are, but they are from Marshalls and like I have said before, Marshalls has THE BEST BOOT STEALS! If you're in the market for a good pair of boots---look no further than your local Marshalls! Seriously! OR you can always get yourself a GREAT friend like Bianca who will buy you a pair if she sees ones that look perfect for you! Thanks B, you're the bomb.com!
3. I wore my FABULOUS (if I do say so myself!) leopard sweater from Forever 21. I went through a phase where I always wore AT LEAST one animal print item with every outfit---my style tends to be "loud" like that---but lately I have not been wearing it as much. No real reason for abandoning my leopard wearing ways, I just save it for when I need a real pick-me-up in my week! I also wore my cute pink bow headband as kind of an afterthought. It was in my desk at school and my hair kept falling in my face during 2nd period. So, instead of putting my hair in a ponytail like I always do, I put on this headband---which coincidentally went perfectly with my....
4. HOT PINK SCARF!!!!! I got this pink scarf from my friend Brittany when I was a bridesmaid in her and her husband's wedding. It is gorgeous and SO soft! I have an older pink scarf that is just becoming pretty ratty, so I have been wearing this one instead. Cute, and my POP! of color for the day! Who knew that pink and leopard could look so cute together???
I HEART YOU for taking the time to read my ridiculous, random, sometimes unnecessarily long-winded blog. I just love getting dressed every day, because I feel like every outfit has the potential to change my outlook on the day. If I wear sweats, sure---I am totally comfortable---but I end up being lazy. If I wear something that is sassy, I feel confident and ready to take over the world. So, for today at least, watch out World! HERE COMES ALI!
Miss Patty at Sussman has already cornered the market on "wear leopard every day!"
