My students don't even realize they've been duped!
Twirling is fun.....
Twirling is great.....
Twirling is dangerous in heels and on uneven ground!
Maybe THAT's why Twirling is reserved for sneaker-wearing-five year old children :)
So I am choosing to call this day "How I Tricked All My Students" because NOT ONE OF THEM even noticed (or was brave enough to point out!) that I am wearing my Dress again! Woohoo! I am sure this has a lot to do with how I chose to style it, but either way, no one said anything! In fact, in every single period I was complimented on how nice I look today! Which is just so funny, because I AM WEARING THE SAME THING AS YESTERDAY AND NO ONE SAID ANYTHING!!!! Haha...this is so fun!
Here's what I did today...
1. Over the top half of my "fashion foundation" (ie. my Dress) I put on my awesome long sleeve blue button-up which I purchased from WALMART!!!!! LOVE IT!!!! I adore a bargain! And Walmart is definitely full of them! So I buttoned it up halfway, tied the bottom part up and rolled up the sleeves. Basically creating a shirt and skirt effect with my Dress serving as the skirt part.
2. My gray, t-strap, Old Navy heels (I love these shoes!) that I purchased about 4 years ago. They were essentially a "steal" from the Old Navy clearance rack and I think that they pretty much go with every outift I try to wear!
3. I kept my outfit classy by adding my faux pearl jewelry. My necklace is from Forever 21 and my earrings were from H&M as a part of the same deal that my gold studs were on Day 1.
4. A messy bun on top of my head completed my look!
Honestly people, the BEST part of this outfit is that I got complimented on how "nice" I looked pretty much all day long. Hilarious! I was readying myself for lots of people asking me why I was wearing the same thing as yesterday....this leads me to think a few of things....
A. People REALLY don't care what I wear
B. My students will compliment me on anything that I wear because they have figured out the "Unwritten Currliculum" (ie. They have realized that being on my good side is always a good thing....)
OR (and I'm really hoping it's this one....)
C. I did such a great job of disguising my Dress that no one could really notice unless they knew what they were looking for. It's like "Where's Waldo"! :)
All in all...a good outfit, a good day, and I am still excited for the next 27 days to come!
P.S. Lori and Dave had their baby last night! Nathaniel Houston Pryor made his Grand Entrance at 9:33PM....he is gorgeous, mom is doing great, and dad is over the moon! Yay! Can't wait to squeeze his adorable little cheeks!
xoxo
