Same Dress. 30 Days. Day 14 or "How I Wore My Dress to a Calf Branding"

This is going to be brief because I am getting ready to eat a delicious TURKEY DINNER---that's right, we (Renee, Jamie, and I) made a TURKEY!!! In the OVEN! Granted, we haven't tasted it yet, but I think it's going to be amazing! :) So, here goes nothing---or EVERYTHING--however you choose to look at it! I went to a calf branding today---this means that they tag, vaccinate, castrate, and brand all of the new calves in the herd. And it's a PARTAAAY!!! We ate food, drank cocktails, stood by the fire---and I even tasted (a small teensie bite) of Rocky Mountain Oysters---aka cow balls. LOL. Not my favorite, but definitely not the worst thing either! Here I am at the branding. It was REALLY cold, but I SWEAR that I am wearing my dress. You can see it peeking out from under my jacket.....it's there! I tied it up with a hair-tie!

I had to fit in, so I wore Renee's camo hat AND her WRANGLERS!!!!! Sorry, Denim Guy, I know they're not premium denim, but they served their Cowgirl purpose for the day! :) And, I must also say that they are pretty comfy!

OF COURSE I had to represent Warren Basketball with my t-shirt (that's for you, JMull!) You can see my dress better in this picture! After the branding we went and ate a YUM-O lunch and of course, had some more drinks (I don't think Cowboys do much of anything with out food and beverages!)

Here I am with my pal, Dollar :) .....side note: this was right before Dollar flipped out and ran away from me. Apparently the Horse-Whisperer I am not.

Older Cowboy (check out Renee's husband, Pat....those CHAPS ARE HOT!) Looking good PAT! And Young Cowboy---he's got his chaps too!

And, of course, here's my baby Bailey!

What a fun day! I love coming here---it is always an adventure! Pat's whole family is awesome, and it makes me feel so happy for Renee that she is so loved and happy here! She has made some awesome friends who always make me feel like the last time they saw me was yesterday! You know? Special people, those Etna folks! :)
